It’s the most wonderful time of the year

This time of the year always make me so excited. I’m not at all a winter person, but I LOVE Christmas. The lights in the street, the snow scene outside combined with the candles light and tree inside.. It’s so dreamy and cozy. Love it!

Every year I go a bit crazy in the proces of Christmas decorating. And this year was quite extreme. I’ve been in a Christmas mood for weeks, as I’ve been creating some Christmas campaigns for some of the brands I work for.

This year I chose a bit of a different decorating style for my apartment; Scandinavian Christmas with a personal touch 😉 My tree ornaments are all white and I kept my tree quite minimalistic. Also the rest of the decoration is more in the minimalistic chic kinda style. But off course with a personal touch.

The Tree

My tree was really inspired by the Pinterest examples of a Scandinavian tree. We bought a real (!) tree at Ikea and decorated it with all white ornaments. The white snow flakes are from Maison du Monde and the white christmas snowballs are from H&M Home. I’ve also used quite a lot of clear glass ornaments like the polka dot ones from Ikea.

My Christmas scenes

The nativity scene was a gift from my boyfriend on our first Christmas together. It’s so cute and so me. We were planning on buying extra figurines every year, as some sort of tradition. However, Unfortunately they are not being produced anymore.  Luckily we have the essentials like baby Jezus.

Snowballs are another tradition that still stays the perfect and fun decoration. This ones come from Sissy Boy. They have such a cute Christmas collection this season. I wanted to buy almost all of them. I think I might buy some other ones as gifts. I also bought the rendeer at Sissy Boy. This one is on the other side of the tv and I added some decorated candles. An idea I found on Pinterest. It’s super easy and it looks so cozy.

The table(s)

On the coffee table I combined the typical Christmas red with some gold candle holders from H&M Home. The minimalistic Christmas trees were a find in a small pop-up boutique in Antwerp. But you can find probably similar ones in a Scandinavian styled deco shop. I really like the combo of the red, grey and gold on my marble coffee table.

For the dining room table I chose some black candle holders from Ikea, combined with some gold ornaments from H&M home and some greens.

What’s your decoration theme this season?

Happy coziness
